Traditional services are usually caskets burials. Generally, our services include visitation at the funeral home, viewing or awake with an open or closed casket, a funeral, and a burial service. We also understand that some cultures and religions have unique funeral traditions, and thus we strive to accommodate all your requests. Moreover, our professional staff can help you with transportation services as well as floral arrangements.
Sorrells Funeral Home can help you hold the funeral service at the cemetery where friends and family can be present to honor the deceased. You can choose to follow the traditional funeral service with the casket present, viewing and later a funeral service. Or you may select cremation and then the burial of the urn at the graveside. In either case, we are here to help you lay your loved one in his or her final disposition.
Cremation has gained popularity over the years due to its flexibility in terms of where and when to hold a service. During this challenging time, we can arrange for you to have a full traditional funeral service before cremation or a memorial service at any time with or without the urn present. Typically, after the cremation, you can choose to scatter the ashes, keep the urn, or have it buried in a graveyard where we can hold a service.
Through our Enterprise Pet Crematory, we also offer pet cremation services that any pet owner can appreciate. We’ll handle your pet with dignity before and after cremation.
To honor our nation’s heroes, Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory offers veterans a full military service. A flag is provided to use beside the urn or to drape of the casket. The headstone can be obtained from Department of Veterans Affairs for markers or medallions. You may receive a Presidential Memorial Certificate, signed by the current Commander in Chief. The services can be held at private funerals or military affiliated funerals.
For a full military honors ceremony, the surviving family is provided with a folded flag while Taps is played. At least two detail military Armed Forces members are present for this ceremony. Depending on the rank of the veteran determines the level of honors received. We will help arrange the details on your behalf.
