If the death of a loved one has just occurred or is close; these are the steps you should follow:

  • If the death is not in the hospital or outside the care of hospice, you must immediately contact the authorities so that the passing away is legally pronounced. Call 911 if paramedics or police are not present.
  • Call 334-347-9598 after authorities have pronounced death.
  • Entrust a friend or other family member to help you inform friends and family.
