Susan "Nicki" (Gilley) Mitchell

Susan “Nicki” Mitchell, of Chancellor, Al, passed away Saturday, March 25, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 67.

Funeral services with cremation to follow will be at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening prior to the service beginning at 4:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Nicki was born March 21, 1956 in Hartford, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her father, John Walter Gilley, mother and step-father, Louannice Stephens and Judd Johnson; one sister, Ann Dickinson; brother-in-law, John Dickinson; and one great-grandson Jackson; one granddaughter, Lindsey Jensen.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Lois James “Pete” Mitchell; five sons, James Alan Mitchell (Clara) of Wewahitchka, FL, Terry Ray Mitchell (Kim) of New Brockton, AL, Bobby Lee Mitchell of Talladega, AL, Christopher Shawn Mitchell (Pam) of New Brockton, Al, Pete Bryan Mitchell (Miranda) of Bonifay, FL; one sister, Janice Warhurst of Clearwater, FL; three brothers, David Lee Gilley (Terri) of Seminole, FL, Kenny Eugene Gilley (Jenny) of New Brockton, Al, John Walter Gilley Jr. (Debbie) of Chancellor, AL; fourteen grandchildren: thirty-three great-grandchildren; a special daughter Melissa Medley.
