Reverend Hollis Bradley

Reverend Hollis Bradley, beloved husband, brother, father, Granddaddy, and Pa saw the face of His Savior on August 18, 2021.  He was blessed with 88 years on this earth.

A service honoring the life of Reverend Hollis Bradley will be held Friday, August 20, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Hollis gave his life to Christ at 18 years of age and was baptized shortly after.  His ministry began in 1968.  He devoted his life to spreading the Word of Christ.  His influence and impact cannot be measured.

On January 27, 1951, Hollis was united in marriage to Mavis Purvis.  Hollis and Mavis welcomed a daughter, Valinda, in 1952, and also a son, Tony, in 1963.  From the very beginning he dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to live their life by faith.

Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Carrie Bradley; sister, Edna Rials; infant brother, Donald; and daughter, Valinda Layton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 70 years, Mavis Bradley; one son, Tony Bradley (Darlene); one son-in-law, Ray Layton; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three brothers; two sisters; and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Proverbs 13:22 says, “A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children.”  That was his mission in life, and he finished well.
