Michael W Ready

Michael W Ready, of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Southeast Health. He was 73.

Memorial services will be held at 3PM on Saturday, April 1, 2023 with Tim Gann officiating at First Baptist Church of Level Plains.

Mike was born February 10, 1950 in Slocomb Alabama, to the late General C, Jr. and Eleanor C. Ready.  He worked for the U.S. Civil Service for over 30 years and dedicated his life to raising his children and grandchildren. Mike loved cars, and the outdoors, his family and any excuse to eat great food.

He was preceded in death by his father General C Ready Jr., his mother Eleanor C. and stepfather Joe Tom Grantham.

Survivors include children: Joy Lynn Flowers of Collinsville, MS; Melinda Achman (Eric) of Level Plains, AL; Michael W. Ready, Jr. of Enterprise, AL; Joseph Daniel Ready (Claudia) of Level Plains, AL. His brother General C. Ready III of Skipperville, AL, and his sister Mary Ruth Davidson (Ruedon) of Level Plains, AL. Grandchildren Josselyn Cannon, Devin Ready (Kelsey), Alexis Howell, Michael Wayne Ready III, Mya Ready, Mikayla Ready, Noah Ready, Elijah Ready; and great grandchildren Lucas Jones and Delilah Allor. Nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Mike's name at PO Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741.
