Mary Helen Vaughn

Mary Helen Vaughn passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2023 after a brief stay in Westside Terrace in Dothan, Alabama. She was 83.

A private family graveside service will be held at 10AM on Friday September 22, 2023 at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing Mary Helen was born June 26, 1940 in Dale County Alabama to Orie and Lucille Whitman. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Vaughn, Sr.; her sisters Elizabeth Whitman Helms and Maurine Whitman Kirkland; and her great-granddaughter Mckenzie Anne Kirkland.

She is survived by her children Kimberly Vaughn Kirkland of Dothan, AL, Angela Vaughn Moodt (Joe) of Whitney, TX and Donald E. Vaughn, Jr of Gordon, AL ; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Doris W. Creel of Dothan and Merle W. Ezell of Huntsville; as well as many nieces and nephews.
