Mary H (Hofer) Rutkowski

Mary H. Rutkowski of Enterprise, AL died on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her residence; she was 93.

Funeral services will be graveside at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.

Mary was born March 5, 1931 in Binghamton New York to the late George E. and Bertha M. Hofer. After growing up in the same town as her future husband, a meeting when her Dad picked up a hitch-hiking Joseph would set a course that became her life. The two would marry in 1951 and for more than 60 years she would serve as a full time military wife.

She was preceded in death by her husband Colonel Joseph F. "Joe" Rutkowski United States Army Retired and her parents.

Survivors include her daughter: Alexis R. McCullors (Gary), Union Grove, AL, son: Brent Rutkowski, Enterprise, grandson Michael and granddaughter Dawn Marie Minton Emerson (Charles), one great granddaughter and one great grandson as well as a niece and several nephews.
