Freddy was preceded in death by his parents, John B., Sr. and Dorothy Taylor; his son Freddy Wayne Taylor, Jr., and brother John B. Taylor, Jr.
Starting in 1989, Freddy spent over 20 years at Wiley Sanders Trucking. During his time at the company, he built a positive rapport with his co-workers and eventually was entrusted with a training position. Freddy proudly claimed the title of “truck driver”, but his true passion was people. To Freddy, there was no such thing as a stranger. He may have been a typical Southerner with a love for all things fried, country music, and his nation, but that never stopped him from making a friend with someone much younger or very different. He could talk for hours over a cup of coffee or a cigarette. The only things that could quiet him for a moment were Western movies or a History Channel program. Freddy loved the cowboys and outlaws of the wild west, and he soaked in every bit of historical knowledge he could. He might be remembered as a class clown, but in the regards to this U.S. history, he was one of the smartest men one might know. Anyone lucky enough to get know Freddy will miss him dearly. Freddy had a charisma that could charm a room in an instant and a light that can never be replaced.
Survivors include his daughters, Elizabeth Taylor, Shannon Taylor, and Jackie Taylor all of Enterprise; Sisters Betty (Wayne) Lawford of Elba and Judy Taylor of Enterprise; He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, Aaron Taylor, Leah Santiago, and Jennifer Santiago all of Enterprise; the mother of his children Shelia Helms; Niece Lyndsay Elliott (Josh) of New Brockton, and Nephew Josh Lawford (Claire) of Birmingham.
