Dovie (Bostick) Ethridge

Dovie Ethridge of Enterprise passed away on June 9, 2021. She was 85.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 14, 2021 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise.  Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, June 13, 2021 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

Dovie was born May 12, 1936 in Headland, AL to the late James and Mary Bostick.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ray Ethridge; sons, Charles Ethridge, Mike Ethridge and Joe Ethridge; brothers, James Bostick Robert Bostick and Edward Bostick; and sister, Janice Trammell. She was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary and enjoyed attending the Enterprise Senior Citizen’s Center. 

Survivors include her son, Dennis Ethridge (Zoleta) of Enterprise, AL; daughter, Cindy Buxton (Ted) of Enterprise, AL; sister, Martha Trammell (Tommy) of Dothan, AL; grandchildren:  Heath Ethridge, Randy Ethridge, Kyle Ethridge, Chris Ethridge, Lindsey Ethridge, Aubrey Ethridge, Kaylee Pickett, Clea Ethridge and Avery Ethridge; and six great grandchildren with one on the way.
