Denise Marie (Jorgensen) Lugo

Denise Marie Lugo of Enterprise passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at Medical Center Enterprise. She was 66 years old.

A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2020 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Jamie Payton and Travis DeWitt officiating. 

Mrs. Lugo was born on October 4, 1953 at Fort Ord, California. She was beloved by all that knew her. She touched many lives with her generous heart and the way she encouraged people in need. She will be missed by all. Denise was a professing Christian and is now residing in her eternal home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jose M. Lugo, her mother Ann Wittner, her father Norman Eugene Jorgenson, and her step-father David George Wittner.

She is survived by her two daughters: Sheri Lynn Payton (Jamie), Christel Rebecca Cline (Tuan); two stepdaughters: Cindi Tate-Skourup, Mary Catherine Elder; step-mother: Elaine Louise Wittner; one stepson: Robert Lugo; two brothers: David Lawrence Wittner, Samuel James Jorgensen and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Four Corners Ministries (www.fourcorners.org), 202 South 8th Street, Opelika, AL  36801, a charity that was supported by Denise.
