Clarence Eugene " Bluegene" Bowden

Clarence Eugene (Bluegene) Bowden of Opp, Alabama passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at Southeast Health following a brief illness. He was 94.

Graveside Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama, 6121 Hwy 27 South.

Eugene was born February 12, 1929 to the late Ed Mack (Buster) and Katherine Bowden. In Addition to his parents, his brothers Wayne and Marvin Bowden, brother-in-law Raymond Helms preceded him in death.

Eugene worked as an Avionics Technician for various contractors on Fort Rucker and retired with over 30 years of service. He also retired from the Alabama National Guard.

Survivors include three sons: Steve Bowden (Terri), Bruce Bowden (Wanda), Donald Bowden (Stephanie); grandchildren: Laura, Matthew, Brandon, Aaron, Bret; great-grandchildren: Ryan, Reese, Cooper, Martha, Catherine; brother, Bobby Bowden (Barbara); sister, Betty Helms; sister-in-law, Margie Bowden; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
