Aleathea Daphene "Dottie" Brantley

 Aleathea Daphene (Dottie) Brantley of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Enterprise Health and Rehab. She was 90. 

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise, Alabama.  Burial will follow at New Home Cemetery in Enterprise with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the chapel beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the time of service.

Daphene was born April 10, 1933, to the late Aubrey and Mary Bell.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Brantley, two sons, Kenieth Hughes and Ricky Hughes, four sisters and six brothers. Daphene was independent and resourceful. She worked hard and saved. She loved music and was a great musician.

Survivors include her sons, Dale Hughes and Larry Hughes (Carolyn); nine  grandchildren, Tammy Hughes, Daniel Hughes, Damon Hughes, Richard Hughes, Josh Hughes, Leia Duhaime, Nathan Hughes, Shaun Hughes and Beverly Carter; Numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
