William Donell Salmon

William Donell Salmon, age 56, of Daleville, Alabama, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.

William was born October 1, 1969, in New York to the late Randall Clement Salmon and Daphne Myrless McKiss Salmon. He spent much of his working life as a truck driver in the logistics industry. His career allowed him to pursue one of his greatest interests—traveling, seeing new places, and meeting people along the way.

William never met a stranger. Naturally outgoing and blessed with a wonderful sense of humor, he enjoyed talking with everyone he encountered. His warmth, laughter, and larger-than-life personality made him someone people remembered. Above all, William was devoted to his wife and family. Caring for those he loved was at the heart of the way he lived his life.

William was preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Daphne Salmon.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Mary Salmon; three sons; six daughters; his niece, Amber Salmon; one brother, Randall Salmon Jr.; and a host of additional family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

In accordance with William’s wishes, cremation will take place. The family will honor and remember his life privately.
