William "Bill" Rogers

William E. “Bill” Rogers, age 78, of the Goodman Community, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 1, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise, with Reverend Bruce Williams and Dr. John Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Goodman Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM and continuing until service time.

Bill was born September 2, 1947, in Alabama to the late Vincent Rogers and Catheron Simmons Rogers. He worked as a aircraft mechanic and proudly served his country in the Alabama National Guard. He was a member of Goodman Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Vincent “Vince” Rogers; sister, Ginger Rogers; stepson, Greg Gibson; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Rogers; and step-granddaughter, Hannah Gibson.

Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Peggy Rogers of New Brockton; grandchildren, Casey Rogers (Lacey), of Crestview, Florida, and Justin Rogers of Enterprise; three stepchildren, Gary Gibson of Elba, Jackie Smith (Phil) of New Brockton, and Kenny Gibson of New Brockton; siblings, Judy Hurley (Windham) of Goodman, Barbara Worthy (Jerry Moseley) of Hartford, George Rogers of New Home, Martha Wood of Springfield, Missouri, Glen Rogers of Goodman, and Tommy Rogers (Julie), of Goodman; eight step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and other extended family members and friends.
