William “Bill” Allen was born on September 18, 1951 in Clubb, Missouri and he passed away on May 10, 2024. Bill was 72.
Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Betty Allen, children Angela Bennett, Kimberly Allen, Meghan Allen, Joseph Bennett and Mark Beasley. Brothers Kenny Allen (Wendy), Joe Allen and Michael Daniels, his sister Debbie Reeves (Gary). Nine grandchildren Kyleigh “Lexi” Bennett, Kaitlin Bennett, Kamryn Bennett, Kassidy Bennett, Paige Beasley, Charley Beasley, Chloe Osbourne, Avery Osbourne, and Cohen Nguyen. Four great-grandchildren Dakota, Adam, Briella and David. Numerous nieces and nephews.
Bill grew up in Missouri, where he graduated from Greenville High School and met Betty. Life would lead them to make their home in Enterprise Alabama. Bill went to work and did not stop, working at Dorsey Trailers for a few years then as an Aircraft Mechanic for more than 25 years. Everyone knew him as a hard worker. He loved his family, especially the kids and animals that were in and out of his house all the time.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Ida Allen and his sisters Imagene, Sharon, Sue, Diane, Mary, Bette, Judy and brothers Johnny and Ronnie.
A memorial service for Bill will be held on June 1, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home at 5PM, with Caleb Cochran officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home directing.
