Mr. William Guy Caylor of New Brockton, Alabama, passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at his home from natural causes. He was 94.
Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Calvary Baptist Church in Enterprise with Brother Kerry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at New Brockton City Cemetery in New Brockton with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until the time of service.
Guy was born February 25, 1928, to the late John and Clyde Weatherford Caylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Marguelene Clark Caylor, and his daughter, Guylene Caylor Nichols. Siblings Charles Ray Caylor, John Hugh “Pat” Cayor, and Elvie Fillingim Coursey. Guy was an exceptional farmer his entire life. He enjoyed sitting outside under the pecan tree and talking with visitors. He was a devoted father and Papa to his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 10 years, Jennine Caylor; sons, David Caylor (Leslie), and Billy Ray Caylor (Sharon); one brother, Billy Lamar Caylor; five grandchildren, Holly Nichols Hollis (Bryan), Bradley Nichols (Connie), Ashlie Caylor Allums (Bryan), Faith Caylor Scroggins (Ron), and Shelby Caylor; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of extended family.
Flowers are welcome, or donations may be made to the New Brockton City Cemetery Fund at PO Box 358 New Brockton, AL 36351.
