William F. Burton

William F. Burton of Enterprise passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Medical Center Enterprise. He was 73. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, March 21, in the Chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor Kevin Bond officiating and Richard Woodham delivering the eulogy. Burial with full military honors will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 – 8 pm. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Beba Burton, c/o Wanda Taylor, 103 Weeks Drive, Enterprise, AL 36330. Mr. Burton was born April 25, 1940 in Watertown, TN. He served his country during the Vietnam War and retired both from the US Army as a CW3 and from Dyncorp as a test pilot. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason with Carmichael Lodge. His first wife, Marie Elena Burton; his son, Jeff Rowe; and his parents, Libby and Albert Genette all preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Beba Burton of Enterprise, AL; his children: Monica Bury (Dan) of Harker Heights, TX, John Burton (Grace) of Enterprise, AL; Elena Greer (Timothy Caddell) of Level Plains, AL; Heather Burton of Enterprise, AL; Mike Rowe (Kristy) of Enterprise, AL; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; his sister, Marie Sorrel of Lebanon, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and close friends. nephews; and numerous other relatives and close friends.
