Wendy Irene Rue Driggers

Wendy Irene Rue Driggers, affectionately known as the "keychain kid," was born on July 10, 1985, in Dale County, Alabama to Gregory Driggers and Vera Scott Driggers.

Wendy passed away on June 30, 2024, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, leaving behind a legacy of love and joy. Wendy was a cherished member of the Rocky Head Baptist Church, where her presence brightened the lives of all who knew her. She had a deep passion for technology and was always prepared for the day with her trusty backpack filled with everything she might need, ready to help anyone she encountered. Wendy's infectious spirit and unwavering positivity endeared her to all who crossed her path.

Preceding her in death were her father, Gregory Driggers, and her brother, Greg Driggers. Wendy is survived by her stepfather, Tim Brookins, her beloved mother, and her sisters: Patricia Smith (Mike), Wanda Driggers-Segura (Jorge), and Haley Driggers (Joseph). She also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles who adored her dearly. Ashley, Anthony, Little Michael, Channin, Timmy, Colby, Dalton, Susana, Jorgana, Haisten, Laken, Kolten, Camden, and Solomon.

A celebration of Wendy's life will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home, with Reverend Joe Underwood officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany Cemetery. Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise is overseeing the arrangements.

Wendy will be remembered for her boundless love, infectious laughter, and unwavering determination. She touched the hearts of many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love and warmth she shared so generously during her time with us.
