Wanda Kay "Granny" Rasnic

Wanda Kay Rasnic, lovingly known as “Granny,” passed away on November 29, 2025. Born on December 15, 1949, in Winfield, Alabama, she later made her home in Level Plains, where she built a life filled with love, family, and traditions that will be cherished forever.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Reverend Shawn Crosby officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. A visitation will be at Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday prior to the graveside service beginning at 10:00 AM.

Granny was known for her warm heart, her love of Alabama football, and her gift for cooking meals that gathered everyone around the table. Family was the center of her world, and she poured endless love into each generation.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Larry Joe Rasnic; her daughter, Cindy Gatlin; her parents, Redus and Willie Perry; and her sister, Bettye Robison.

She is survived by her sons, Stacy Rasnic (Tracey) and Michael Rasnic; grandchildren, Hayley (Brodie), Kelli (Austin), Michael, Cody, Keri (Sean), Eric, Madisen, and LJ; her sisters, Ann Dodd, Diane Waddell, Doris Sipper; Steve Perry (Holly); and many beloved nieces, nephews, and great-grandchildren who will always remember her kindness, her stories, and her famous phrase, “honestly and truly.”

Granny’s love and spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
