Wanda Jean Burns

Wanda Jean Burns passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Westside Terrace in Dothan. She was 91.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, April 6, 2026, at New Home Cemetery in the New Home Community with Reverend Cliff Quincey officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Wanda was born September 10, 1934, in Vanalstyne, Texas, to the late O. W. and Ada Whitaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, David Burns; six brothers; and one sister. She was a member of New Home Baptist Church.

Survivors include her three sons, Rickey Burns (Beverly), Bobby Burns (Patty), and Tommy Burns (Ronda); three grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
