Virginia Melanie Yates

Mrs. Melanie Yates of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Friday, August 29, 2025 in Dothan. She was 68.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at Open Door Baptist church with Reverend John McCrummen officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Melanie was born June 1, 1957 in California to the late John James Gallagher II and Virginia Mae Detmers Gallagher. She was a faithful member at Open Door Baptist Church in Enterprise, Alabama.

Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Yates (Eddy Osaile); two brothers: John James Gallagher III (Christine), Theodore Gallagher; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
