Ubert "Collis" Odom, Jr.

Mr. Ubert “Collis” Odom, Jr. passed away Sunday, May 3, 2026, in Blakely, Georgia. He was 81 years old.

Memorialization will be cremation with no services at this time.

Collis was born in Dothan, Alabama, on August 2, 1944, to the late Ubert and Mildred Johnson Odom. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Todd Odom, and son-in-law, Paul Warren.

Collis was raised in Columbia, Alabama, before moving to Blakely, Georgia. Early in his life he served in the US Navy, and then he served as Deputy Sheriff of Early County. He met the love of his life, Marie Horton-Odom, whom he shared 48 years with. Later Collis drove an oil truck with Halliburton Services in Texas and continued his love for truck driving with Sessions Peanut in Enterprise. He loved his family, Alabama football, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Marie Horton-Odom; children, Kelly Horton (Felicia) of Enterprise, Michelle Barnes (Tim) of Panama City Beach, Florida, Kim Warren of Demopolis, Alabama, and his daughter, Pam Odom of Blakely, Georgia; brothers, Eddie Odom (Nedra) of Dothan, Alabama, and Randy Odom of Columbia, Alabama; six grandchildren, Alexandria Horton (Taylor), Kelsey Ready (Devin), Bradley Enriquez, Cheyenne Combs, Cassie Warren, and Chase Cummings; and one great-grandchild, AnnaLynn Warren.
