Tyron "Boone" Powell

Tyron “Boone” Powell. of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in Enterprise. He was 66.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. A private family burial with military honors will follow in Mount Zion cemetery in Enterprise, Alabama with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 18, 2024 prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Boone was born December 30, 1957 in Gloster, Mississippi to the late Arthur and Carrie Veal Powell. He served his country in the United States Army and was proud to be a Veteran. In addition to his parents, four siblings, James Powell “Tody”, Charles (Patiki) Powell, Ronnie (Glenda) Powell, Jackie (Bernell) Smith, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Carmen Powell; children: Tron Jones, Jennifer Powell, Carmen Blakey Ortiz, Michael Powell; one brother: Robert (Speed) Powell; five grandchildren: Theryn Perry; Amancio, Gia, Damiron, Isabella; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunts.
