Tommie Harbuck

Tommie Harbuck, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 75. Born on October 6, 1949, in Enterprise, Alabama, he was the son of James and Lillian Harbuck. Tommie was a remarkable craftsman in the construction industry, known for his extraordinary ability to build anything imaginable, often without plans. His inventive spirit led him to create a helicopter from a trampoline frame and later, an airplane that he proudly flew.

Tommie is preceded in death by his parents, his cherished daughter Carrie Griggs, and his grandson Ashton Atwell. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Grant Harbuck; his daughter Sherry Roberts (Kevin); his brother Jim Wayne Harbuck (Glenda). He leaves behind three grandchildren, Brooke Nolin (Kenny), Amy Atwell (Adam), and Casey Griggs, along with four great-grandchildren, Danica, Bailee, Jackson, and Raelyn. Tommie also cherished his lifelong friendship with his best friend and business partner, Tony Watson, as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, memorialization will be by cremation, with a private family service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to SOS Animal Shelter at 25944 AL-134 Enterprise, AL 36330, honoring Tommie’s compassionate spirit.
