Timothy Griswold

Timothy Trent Griswold passed away after a valiant fight against lung cancer, surrounded by his family on Friday, September 26th, 2025. He was 67.

Funeral services will be at 12 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 30th, at County Line Baptist Church in Daleville with Pastor Danny Wiggins officiating. Burial will follow in the County Line Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 am to noon. 

Tim Griswold was born January 21st, 1958, in Coffee County to Fred and Loretta Griswold. Tim lived a life full of adventure and thrill, traveling, and exploring nearly every part of the country during his lifetime. From motorcycling the highways and backroads of the southern United States to flying through the mountains of Hawaii, he never met a stretch of road he didn't want to explore - exemplifying that a great story was always better than a sheltered life. Tim made the open road his office, working as a professional truck driver for more than 30 years. He knew the best places to eat in every state, could navigate a blizzard without a map, and had a story for every mile marker across the nation. He didn't just haul cargo; he was a living travelogue whose most enjoyed stops were always centered around spending time with his family.

Tim was a loving husband, an exceptional father, and a spectacularly devoted grandfather. Though he loved the freedom of the open road, the truest adventure of his life was undoubtedly being a grandparent to all 18 (and counting) of his grandchildren—and he made a point to teach each of them that life is a grand, exciting place meant to be experienced. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of all who were privileged to have ridden alongside him.

Tim is survived by his loving mother, Lorretta Griswold; his devoted wife, Teresa Harrison Griswold; his beloved daughters, Trina Meadows (Mike), Lori Lopez (Chris), Sarah Roth (Travis), and Mary Walsh (Cory); his son, Brian; his cherished grandchildren, Noah, Christian, Hannah, Faith, Abigail, Benjamin, Trystan, Alexis, Jack, Ila-Catherine, Matthew, ArieAnna, Addalyn, Kirby, Madison, Mackenzie, Magnolia and Junie; as well as all of his loyal siblings, Diana, Sam, Libby, Winfred & Marci.
