Tim Rex Pope

Tim Pope of Chancellor, AL passed away Thursday April 29, 2021. He was 68.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with Reverend Karl Hudson officiating.  Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Enterprise directing.  The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. and continue until time of service.

Tim was born on August 18, 1952 to the late Melvin and Maureen Pope. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Todd Huggins.  He enjoyed fishing and camping; and was an avid Alabama football fan.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Sylvia Pope; sons, Chris Cain (Jill) of Chancellor, AL, Bucky Grantham (McKenzi) of Chancellor, AL and Shawn Huggins (Vanessa) of Elba, AL; sister, Patsy Anderson (Donnie) of Opp, AL; and grandchildren:  Cody, Colton, Hadleigh, Henley, Tristan, Elizabeth Nicole, Kane and Courtney.
