Thelma Green

Mrs. Thelma Green passed away March 28, 2025, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan. She was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 4, 2025, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Kevin Kelley officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. Burial will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Monday, April 7, 2025, at 12:30 pm EST. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Thelma was born January 30, 1941, in Georgia to the late Hugh Jason and Jessie Smith London. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 27 years, Samuel Green; sons, Samuel Thomas Green III and Joseph Ester Green; and her brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Green was a very unique person. Her hobbies included reading, gospel music, playing cards with family, and having a good, strong cup of coffee first thing every morning. Her door was always open to someone in need, and she never met a stranger. Her most treasured moments were spent with her family and friends.

Survivors include her daughter, Desiree Jones of Enterprise; step-daughters, Vicki Muller of Tuscon, Arizona, and Sandra Edwards of Riceville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Gavin Dowling (Savanna), Jessie Jones, Jonathon Stevens (Charlene); and seven great-grandchildren, Hudson and Saylor Dowling, and Dayton, Lilly, Alexis, Zayne, and Prestyn Stevens.
