Tammy Cauley
Age 56, of New Brockton, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her home on August 25, 2025.
Tammy was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on June 7, 1969. She was a woman full of life, who loved people and never met a stranger. Tammy had a gift for conversation—she could talk with anyone and build lasting relationships wherever she went. Above all, she cherished her family and found her greatest joy in being “Mimi” to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, James Storm McWaters, and her father, Robert O’Ferrell.
Left to treasure her memory are her children: daughter, Bethany McWaters; and sons, Hunter Cauley (Megan) and Dusty McWaters. She is also survived by her seven precious grandchildren—Maci, Mileigh, Jase, John, Brodie, Paisley, and Rylee—who were the light of her life. Tammy is further survived by her mother, Mary Ann Martin; her sister, Delisha O’Ferrell; as well as two others she loved with all of her heart John Cauley, Terranc Turner and niece Rosie Coppage.
Tammy’s compassionate heart extended beyond people—she adored animals and never turned away a stray in need. She lovingly cared for many pets over the years, making her home a safe haven for any furry friend who wandered her way.
Memorialization will be by cremation, with a family service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to WAG (Wiregrass Animal Group) at WiregrassAnimalGroup@gmail.com, honoring Tammy’s lifelong love for animals.
Tammy will be remembered for her laughter, kindness, and unconditional love. She leaves behind a legacy of family, friendship, and care for both people and animals alike.
