Stephen Christopher Szmyr

Stephen Christopher Szmyr, of Albany, Georgia, passed away Saturday, December 23, 2023. He was 32.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday prior to the service beginning at 1:00 pm and continuing until service time.

Stephen was born March 2, 1991 to Elizabeth Chambers Barker and Stephen Szmyr Jr. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mike Chambers; and paternal grandfather, “Big Steve” Szmyr.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Barker (Paul); father, Steve Szmyr (Kim); sister, Danielle Walker (Josh); partner, James Carnegie; maternal grandmother, Betty Calande; paternal grandmother, Ellen Szmyr; nephews Noah Walker, Carson Walker; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins; and his dog “Shadow”.
