Stanley Arthur Moore

Stanley Arthur Moore passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 59 in Modesto, California.

A memorial service will be held at Bethany Baptist Church, New Brockton, Alabama, on Monday, September 25, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Rev. Greg Cotter with Sorrells Funeral Home directing.

Stanley was born August 12, 1964 in Dothan, Alabama to Samuel Wyatt Moore and Grace Thomas Moore of Elba, Alabama. Stanley was a proud father, uncle, son, brother, cousin, and friend. He graduated from Auburn University with a degree in Visual Communications and Graphic Design. After a successful career in advertising, he attended the University of Alabama in Birmingham, earning his master’s degree in Nursing. Through his career as a Travel Nurse, Stanley helped a countless number of people. Being an avid traveler, he enjoyed working in hospitals across the country. During his travels, he made a new home away from home in Palm Springs, California.

Stanley had a deep love and appreciation for nature, art, and beauty. He was especially fond of his plants and flowers which he shared with everyone. He also enjoyed antiquing and sharing his unique finds. Throughout his life and travels, he also gained a second family of close friends whom he loved very much.

In addition to his mother, Grace, his survivors include his daughter, Katherine Grace, of Birmingham; his son Harrison, of Auburn as well as his brother Thomas Moore (Jan), of Elba; his niece Kaley; and nephew Wyatt (Kaitlin). He is also survived by uncles Billy Moore, Mixon Moore, Larry Moore, and Gerone Dyess (Wanda); as well as numerous cousins who will miss his visits and presence at family get-togethers.His father Sam and brother Jason preceded him in death.
