Sara Jeanie Hiers

Ms. Sara Jeanie Hiers, age 68, of Helena, AL passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at Shelby Baptist Hospital.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Open Door Baptist Church in Enterprise, AL with Pastor John McCrummen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00p.m. until time of service.

Sara was born on April 20, 1954 in Blakely, GA and moved to Enterprise, AL years later. She worked through the years at Walmart and in Security at Fort Rucker, AL. She enjoyed talking with friends and loved listening to music. She was very creative and loved working with her hands by sewing, crocheting, or knitting. She loved to laugh and be the life of the party. She was known by many as Mama Jeanie and will be missed dearly by all that loved her.

Sara was preceded in death by her parents, Sara King Stanley and Hubert Guy Stanley, Sr of Blakely, GA; brothers, Hubert Guy Stanley, Jr of Augusta, GA, and Michael Larry Stanley of Blakely, GA.

Survivors: daughters, Miranda (Greg) Williford of Helena, AL and Laura (Claude) Davis of Tuscaloosa, AL; sisters, Patricia (Roger) Warren of Blakely, GA, Sandee Copeland of Jacksonville, FL; Grandchildren, Caleb, Olivia, & Mason Williford and Tyson Davis.
