Rosalie "Momma Rose" Dooley

Mrs. Rose “Momma Rose” Dooley of Enterprise passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center.  She was 91.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home in Galax, Virginia.  Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery on Glendale Road with Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home directing.

Mrs. Dooley was born March 13, 1931, in Shreveport, Louisiana to the late Ruben and Adeline Bustamento.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Dooley; children, Sandra Key and Donald Bottomley; great-grandson, Myles Helton; and sister, Thelma.  Having worked in child care for many years, Mrs. Dooley loved children.  She was also very witty.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Carico of Galax, Virginia, and Jackie Bottomley of Columbia, South Carolina; stepdaughters, Barbara Farin of Texas and Judy Summers of Washington; brother, Clyde Bustamento of Texas; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of Enterprise Health and Rehabilitation Center for the years of care given to their mother.
