Ronnie Cotton

Ronnie Cotton, of Jack, Alabama, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2026. He was 73 years old.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Dorcas Baptist Church in Jack with Reverend Hunter Hughes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday starting at 2:00 PM until service time.

Ronnie was born ­October 15, 1952, to Johnnie B. and Ouida Cotton. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Paula Marie Cotton; his father; and his grandson, River McLendon. Ronnie loved his family and farming, and he was a member of Dorcas Baptist Church.

Survivors include his three daughters, Shann Bright (Chad) of Jack, Adrianne Smith (Stephen) of Chancellor, and Alisha McLendon (Brandon) of Jack; mother, Ouida Cotton; brothers, Jimmy R. Cotton (Karen) and Lynn Cotton (Tracey); ten grandchildren, Kirsten Hughes (Hunter), Gracen Bright, Sadie Grantham McInnis (Jacob), Tristan Smith (Sheyenne), Noah Smith, Braedon McLendon (Hannah), Hadley McLendon, Jaleigh McLendon, Jenna McLendon, and Adon McLendon; eleven great-grandchildren, Hudson Hughes, Shepherd Hughes, Hollin Hughes, Hattie Mobley, Whitton Mobley, Walker McInnis, Livi McInnis, Lillee Kate Smith, Lowen Smith, Jakan McCowen, and Lynlee McLendon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
