Roger Neil Eagerton

Roger Neil Eagerton of Jack, Alabama (New Hope Community), passed away on Friday, June 26, 2026. He was 63.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at New Hope Baptist Church with Reverend Lanny Shepherd officiating and his brother, Greg Eagerton, delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the church Monday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

Roger was born February 12, 1963, in Troy, Alabama. Roger worked for over 33 years in supply at Fort Rucker before retiring several years ago. He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Eagerton; brother, Steve Eagerton; and father-in-law, Doyle Bass.

Survivors include his wife of almost 35 years, Renee Bass Eagerton; mother, Jean Eagerton of Vestavia Hills, formerly of the New Hope Community; brother, Greg Eagerton (Sallie) of Hoover, Alabama; mother-in-law, Betty Bass of Enterprise; brother-in-law, Darren Bass of Auburn, Georgia; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to New Hope Cemetery Inc., 436 County Road 130, Jack, AL 36346.
