River Ronlee Mclendon

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our River Ronlee McLendon, who went to be with Jesus on January 12, 2025. Although River was a stillborn, he brought immense joy and hope to his family, serving as an unexpected blessing from God. River is the cherished son of Brandon and Lindsey McLendon, who survive him.

In accordance with the family's wishes, River will be memorialized through cremation, with a private family service to be held at a later date. River's family, members of Dorcas Baptist Church, find comfort in their faith, believing in the hope of a joyful reunion in heaven someday.

River is preceded in death by his grandmother, Paula Cotton, and his grandfather, Kenneth McLendon. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings: Braedon (Hannah), Jaleigh, Adon, Hadley, and Jenna. River is also survived by his nephew, Jakan, and his niece, Lynlee, along with his grandfather, Ronnie Cotton, and his grandmother, Paula Catrett.

In honor of River's memory, the family asks that donations be made to the Hydrocephalus Foundation at 4340 East West Highway, Suite 905 Bethesda, MD 20814-4447 in lieu of flowers. Though his time with us was brief, River's spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
