Riley Thomas Sims Jr.

Riley Thomas Sims Jr., of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 74.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 28, 2026 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Reverend Billy Cardwell officiating. Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday prior to the service beginning at 10:00 am and continuing until service time.

Riley was born April 26, 1952 in Alabama to the late Riley Thomas and Nora Lee Cardwell Sims. In addition to his parents, two brothers, Acey James Sims, William “Buck” Sims; two sisters Betty Sue Smith, and Louise Baldwin all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife; Deborah Pittman Sims; three sons, Riley T Sims III, Charles Anthony Sims, Steven Sims; siblings, Stella Ball, Sally Brown, Wayne Sims, George Sims, Howard Sims, Robert Sims; grandchildren, Nikki Busby, Krissy Busby, Chase Sims, Emma Sims, Colton Sims; and numerous other loving family members.
