Ricky Taylor

Ricky Taylor of New Brockton passed away on July 30, 2019. He was 58. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2019, at Asbury United Methodist Church with Reverend Danny Sherrer officiating. Burial will follow at Damascus Baptist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Ricky was born March 22, 1961 in Opp, Alabama to the late Coley and Christine Taylor. He is preceded in death by his niece, Crystal Morris. He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sheila Taylor; sons: Brian Lee Taylor (Jessica) and Ricky Bron Taylor (April) both of New Brockton; sisters: Tammy Purdy (Wayne) and Kim Wilkerson (William) both of New Brockton; grandchildren: Sara Kate Taylor, Brayden Taylor and Dawson Taylor; nephews: Brad Sewell (Cassi), Zach Quiller, Forrest, Coley and Simon Wilkerson all of New Brockton; mother-in-law and father-in-law Eugene and Ann Sewell of New Brockton. The family will be accepting flowers or donations can be made to Asbury United Methodist Church in Ricky’s memory.
