Ricky Edgar

Mr. Ricky Edgar of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Friday, November 6, 2026, at Southeast Health. He was 73 years old.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2026, at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Aubrey Sullivan and Harold Klein officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.

Ricky was born January 26, 1953, in Columbus, Georgia to the late Rolland and Glennie Pearl Edgar. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Ramona Bramblett, and brother-in-law, Mark Bowden.

Ricky was a man of few words and strong character. He loved his family more than anything, cherishing his role as a husband, father, Papa, and brother. He worked for over 35 years as a QA manager with Alabama Rail Car until his passing.

Survivors include his wife of almost 40 years, Carol Edgar; son, Chase Edgar (LeighAnne) of Enterprise; step-son, Aubrey Sullivan (Tiffany) of Dothan; step-daughter, Candice Lewis, of West Monroe, Louisiana; sister, Regena Bowden; eight grandchildren, Amelia Edgar, Abigail Edgar, Jesse Lewis, Amber Chisholm (Caleb), Brandon Lewis, Colton Lewis (Brittany), Meagan Sloop (Brantley), and Hayden Taylor (Konnor); and eleven great-grandchildren.
