Richard Myron Girdner

Richard Myron Girdner of Enterprise, AL passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2021.  He was 72.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until time of service.

Richard was born in St. Louis, Missouri on March 4, 1949 to the late Richard and Helene Girdner.  He proudly served his country for six years in the United States Marine Corp and nineteen years in the U.S. Army.  After retiring as a helicopter pilot in 1998, he operated a tree grinding business for many years.  Richard enjoyed traveling in his RV with his loving wife, Carma, whom he was married to for over 51 years.

Survivors include his wife, Carma Girdner; daughter, Denise Michelle Patterson of Las Vegas, NV; son, Richard James Girdner of Enterprise; sister, Helen Kolynn Baker of Missouri; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
