Reverend Donald D. Lolley, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was 86.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise with Reverend Billy Cardwell and Reverend Howard Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 4:00 until 6:00 pm.
Mr. Lolley was born February 24, 1938, in Alabama to the late David T. Lolley and Ida L. Stinson Grimes. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Myrtis and James Lolley.
Mr. Lolley dedicated his life to serving the body of Christ as a minister of the gospel, and preaching and singing were his passion. He sang for over 16 years with the Ambassador Quartet, and he was a member of the Enterprise High School class of 1956. In his early years he spent much time on the water fishing. However, more than anything he loved spending time with his bride of over 68 years, whether they were picking up pecans or raking leaves.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. June Lolley; son, Gary Douglas Lolley (Kelley) of Panama City Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Britney Lolley Cooper and Garrett Douglas Lolley; great-granddaughter, Lillian June Cooper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
