Ray Glen Lyle

Ray Glen Lyle, 89, a longtime resident of Level Plains, passed away in his home on July 16, 2025. 

Ray was born on October 25, 1935, in Tennessee. He was a retired home builder in Enterprise, a gunsmith, and had a love for gardening. He is preceded in death by his wife, Cathyrn Lyle.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 5, 2025,in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend John McCrummen officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery. 

He is survived by his children, Diann Kruse (Steven) of Level Plains, Alabama, Glenda Dudley (Don) of Lexington, Virginia, and Kathy Borland (Comer) of Beattyville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Laura Blankers, Marcus Coppella, Jonathan Coppella (Trisha), Tyler Dudley, Trent Dudley (Makayla-Jo), and Trevor Dudley (Hayley-Nicole); and three great-grandchildren, Madeline Birge, Georgia Dudley, and Sophia Dudley.
