Petra E. Gonazalez

Mrs. Petra E. Gonzalez, of Elba, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026, at her residence. She was 95 years old.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 13, 2026, at Bethany Cemetery, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing.

Petra was born October 7, 1930, in Mexico to the late Arcadio Escamilla and Clemencia Ortega. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Delfino Gonzalez; daughter, Mirella Vasquez; son, David Gonzalez; one brother; and two sisters.

Survivors include four sons; two daughters; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces.
