Listen to Obituary

Paul A. Wagner, age 90, of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2026, at his home while under the care of DaySpring Hospice.

Born on September 28, 1935, in Pennsylvania, Paul lived a life defined by service, dedication, and a love for his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, where he spent his career as a fixed-wing aircraft mechanic. His skill, precision, and strong work ethic earned the respect of those who served alongside him. Even after his military career, Paul remained happiest when working with his hands. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed tinkering with just about anything mechanical, and was known by family and friends as someone who “could fix anything.”

Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. Wagner and Mabel Paul Wagner; his beloved wife of more than 40 years, Patricia Bliss Wagner; his daughter, Pauline Lockhart; his son, Kenneth Wagner; and his sons-in-law, Bo Lockhart and Farrell McKinney.

He is lovingly survived by his daughter, Kimberly McKinney; five grandchildren: Karrie Grubba (Patrick), Rebecca Davis, Joseph McKinney, Kayla Corey (Charles), and Justin McKinney; eleven great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 13, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service begins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) in Paul’s memory.

Paul will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, veteran, and friend whose quiet strength, generous spirit, and remarkable mechanical ability touched the lives of all who knew him. His legacy of faithful service, perseverance, and love for his family will continue to live on through the generations that follow.
