Mrs. Patricia Scott Lacey, of Enterprise, Alabama, went to her heavenly home surrounded by her family on March 31, 2026, at the age of 79.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, April 6, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory with Reverend Matt Jordan and Reverend Scott Veroneau officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends on Monday beginning at 1:00 pm until service time.
Pat was born in Covington County, Alabama, to the late William “Dock” and Willette Robbins Scott. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Gary Scott.
She had an infectious laugh and a deep, unwavering love for her family. She was known for her strong faith and took great pride in leading her family to a relationship with Christ. Even while bravely battling breast cancer, she clung fiercely to her faith, serving as a powerful example of strength, grace, and trust in God. She loved to travel and shared countless adventures with her beloved husband and family, from Jerusalem to Alaska, Europe to Disney World, and many places in between. Pat’s favorite title was “Nana,” and she found great joy in sharing her travels and memories with her grandchildren.
Pat called many places home, but as long as her devoted husband was by her side, she had all she needed. Throughout her life, she wore many hats, working with the military as a civil servant, and then later for NASA at Johnson Space Center, before retiring to Navarre, Florida, where she enjoyed peaceful days by the beach. In recent years, she returned to Enterprise to be closer to her daughters and grandchildren.
She spent much of her time tending to her garden and feeding the birds, reflecting her gentle spirit, loving and caring for even the smallest of God’s creations, just as Jesus taught.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joe Lacey; daughters, Lori Senn of the Ino Community, Aimee Kendrick (Keith) of Opp; Elke Jenison (Mark) of Plano, Texas, and Susanne Davidson (Jimmie) of Allen, Texas; ten grandchildren, Becca Stewart (Grayson), Blake Senn, Brooke Senn, Bryant Kendrick (Gabby), Anna Beth Piggott (Will), Lacey Blok (Kaelan), Luke Jenison, Randy Strickland (Hailey), Samm Potter, and Katie Davidson; three great-grandchildren, Theodore Moore, Greyson Burleson, and Lily Strickland; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in Pat’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org/donate.
