Odie Lee Thompson

Odie Lee Thompson , of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024. He was 47.

Funeral services with cremation to follow will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Goodman Baptist Church with Reverend Bruce Williams officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 PM and continuing until service time.

Odie was born July 31, 1976, in Kentucky to Charles Lee Thompson and Sandra Jean Wood. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Odie started his career as a truck driver at age 19, driving for over 25 years and two million miles. He then went on to work at Enterprise State Community College as a CDL instructor.

He was passionate about his Kentucky Wildcats and the game of softball. He thoroughly enjoyed coaching his daughter, nieces, and many others. Odie inspired his players on and off the field.

Survivors include his wife, Christie Seaborn Thompson, daughter, Gracie Thompson and her mother, Tracie; stepmother, Nancy Thompson; brothers, Billy Thompson (Stephanie), Ronnie Thompson (Cindy), and Donnie Thompson (Danita); special brother, Kevin Goodyear; step-sons, Garrett Hammond (Ashley) and Brandon Hammond (Taylor); grandchildren, Nathaniel Hammond and Jackson Hammond; and several uncles, nieces, and nephews.
