Norma Alipot Tagavilla

With heavy hearts and wonderful memories Norma Alipot Tagavilla of Houston, Texas, passed away on June 7, 2026, at Southeast Hospital in Dothan, Alabama, at the age of 75.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 until 10:00 AM.

Norma was born on August 12, 1950, in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, to Alfred & Natividad Alipot with 8 siblings. Norma attended Bangui National High School and earned a BSC in finance at Divine Word College in Laoag, Philippines. The entire family moved to Hawaii in May of 1970, where Norma worked at several financial banks in Honolulu, namely Hawaii National Bank and First Hawaiian Bank.

Later, Norma and Mario married on April 8, 1996, and built their lives together in Houston, Texas, where she continued her career at Prosperity Bank, Klein Bank, Amegy Bank, and retired at Comerica Bank. Her pride and joy was her only child, Constantine Benemerito, and her four grandchildren. She loved gardening, cooking for her family, and traveling with her husband.

Norma leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Mario Tagavilla; a son, Constantine Benemerito; four grandchildren, Kaydin, Taimane, Titus, and Reupena. Her family will remember her for her humor, her strength, her prayers, and her love that shaped their lives.
