It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Norma Angelica Martinez, lovingly known as "Moma," who went Home to our Lord on Monday, December 9, 2024, at the age of 48. Born on May 30, 1976, in Las Lomas, Jalisco, México, Norma brought joy and warmth to all who knew her.

A devoted wife and mother, Norma was the heart of her family. She was married to Arnold Martinez for 23 wonderful years, and together they raised three remarkable sons: Derek, Melvin, and Dylan. Norma was their loudest cheerleader, always present at their games, instilling in them the values of hard work and perseverance that she embodied throughout her life.

Norma had a gift for making friends wherever she went. Her radiant smile and infectious laughter transcended language barriers, allowing her to connect with people from all walks of life. She was known for her strong will and her colorful language, always speaking her truth with clarity and passion.

She was preceded in death by her father, Rafael Medina, and her brother, Rafael Medina, Jr. Norma is survived by her loving mother, Esther Escalera, and her siblings, Alma Gallegos (Jose), Rosalba Gallegos (Eleno), Carlos Medina (Maria Beatriz), Fernando Medina, Lucha Medina (Jesus), Estela Mena (Jason), Yolanda Medina (Pablo), and Maite (Arturo) Ochoa. She also leaves behind numerous cherished nieces and nephews who adored her.

A faithful member of the Catholic Church, Norma was actively involved at both Saint Mary’s in Jackson, Georgia, and Saint Felipe de Jesus in Conley, Georgia. Her unwavering faith and dedication to her community were evident in all aspects of her life.

In celebration of her life and faith, a funeral mass will be held at St. John’s Catholic Church in Enterprise, Alabama, on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 1 PM with Father Victor Parez officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowlawn Cemetery in Enterprise with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. The family invites friends to join them for a time of remembrance and fellowship at the funeral home from 10 AM until 12 PM that same day.

Norma Angelica Martinez will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her smile, strength, and the joy she brought to our lives. May she rest in eternal peace.
