Nancy (Waldrop) Sartin

Nancy Waldrop Sartin passed away March 7, 2024 at her residence. She was 70. Private graveside funeral services will be at a later date at Woodlawn Cemetery in Whigham Georgia with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing. Nancy was born March 9, 1953 in Fayetteville, North Carolina to the late Donald L and Elinor Delores Willis Waldrop. She was an assistant city clerk from March 1973 through October 1976 and again from June 1980 until 1983. She held the position of city clerk from 1983 until 1987 working for two mayors in Daleville, Mayor Jimmy Day and Mayor Gene Hughes. Nancy spent most of her life in Daleville and attended Daleville Highschool where she graduated in 1971. She assisted in the class reunions of classes 1966-1976 having a big reunion instead of a small one just for the class of 1971. Daleville was a small school so it was much more fun to have ten classes together. She was raised in the Methodist faith and was baptised at The Daleville Methodist Church. Nancy was a housewife who enjoyed making and collecting crafts. In addition to her parents, her husband; R.A “Ray” Sartin; one brother, Donald “Donnie” Waldrop; one nephew-in-law Bubba Ansley preceded her in death. Survivors include her sister, Teresa Waldrop; brother: Robert Timothy Waldrop; nieces, Hannah Waldrop Ansley; Heidi Cumbie; nephew, Eddie Dixon; childhood friend, Pam Stanford-Kuntz. Flowers will be accepted of contributions may be made to Coffee County Fire Department, Coffee County Hospice, or City of Whigham, Georgia, Cemetery maintenance.
