Monica Lujan

Monica Lujan of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away suddenly at Southeast Health in Dothan at the age of 56 years old.

Memorialization will be by cremation. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date back home in California.

Monica was born May 1, 1970, in California to the late Arthur and Glinda Rubio Lujan. Survivors include her son, George Barajas, Jr. (Denae) of California; daughters, Bianca Joelle Barajas of Alabama and Raelynn Inez Barajas of California; one brother; three sisters; and two grandbabies, Drani and Kendrix Barajas.

Monica was truly the light of every room she walked into, a real ray of sunshine. Her smile was contagious, her heart was selfless, and she dedicated her life to taking care of others. Above all else, her greatest pride and joy was being a mother to her three children, and a loving Grammie to her two grandsons whom she adored with all her heart.

She loved the beach! The sun, the sand, and the sound of the water brought her peace and happiness. She was a giver in every sense of the word, always putting the people she loved before herself. If she loved you, you were incredibly lucky, because she would do absolutely anything for the people she cared about. She was also a huge animal lover with the most compassionate soul. She took in every dog and cat she could, and even wildlife at times, loving and caring for them as if they were her own children. No animal was ever unwanted in her eyes, she had a heart big enough for everyone and everything. Her Enterprise family holds a special place in her heart as well.

She also took immense pride in her career as a dental assistant for over 35 years. She was hardworking, dedicated, compassionate, and touched the lives of so many patients and coworkers throughout the years.

Her love, warmth, and beautiful spirit will live on forever in all of us. She was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words.
