Minnie Newsome

Minnie Newsome of Enterprise, AL passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019. She was 82.   Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Enterprise. Burial will follow at Enterprise City Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continuing until time of service.   Minnie was born January 14, 1937 to the late Henry and Sally Tindol. She is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Newsome and son, Fred Newsome.   She loved being a caregiver to so many children for 42 years as the owner of Newsome Daycare. She was also a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.   Survivors include her daughter, Betty Elliott (Robert B.) of Enterprise; daughter-in-law, Lynn B. Newsome of Enterprise; two grandchildren: Megan Spears Newsome (Wes) and Angelica Newsome.
